Robust Popcorn

98114W is an excellent eating-quality white popcorn that yields as well as many yellow hybrids. 98114W has a strong stalk and roots that help to resist stalk rot and root lodging. It’s delicate flakes and small hulls are an exceptional eating quality and harken to heirloom varieties.
High resistance: Common Rust Intermediate Resistance: Goss’ Wilt

R265 has an early large orange grain with very high MWVT expansion. This variety outperforms other early hybrids with 5-10% higher yields and 2-3 points better expansion. R265 has market-leading Goss’ Wilt resistance and excellent stalk strength under above-average plant populations.

R283 is an early popcorn with the large orange grain on a single ear with high yield potential. A strong stalk and roots help to resist root lodging, stalk rot, and drought stress.
High resistance: Common rust, Northern Corn Leaf Blight, and Grey Leaf Spot.
Intermediate Resistance: Goss’ Wilt and Drought

R400MR is a superior mushroom variety that has excellent plant health with broad dark green leaves, a study single stalk, and resistance to most diseases. The large single ears give it one of the highest yield potentials in the market today. The rich orange kernel size is exceptional at 47 k/10g while popping about 80% ball and mushroom flakes.
High resistance: Common Rust, NCLB, Grey Leaf Spot, and Goss’ Wilt.

R427 is one of the expanding hybrids that Crookham Company has seen. Achieving commercial combine-shelled expansions of 50 MWVT and greater. In the past, high MWVT meant lower yield, but R427 introduces a new generation of genetics where this compromise doe not apply. R427 has large, orange colored grain with excellent eating quality and is known for its double ears.

R502 is an exciting new mid-season yellow butterfly popcorn hybrid. R502 combines high expansion with high yield on a plant with multiple disease resistances.

R606 is an extra high-yielding yellow butterfly popcorn with excellent eating quality. This hybrid has extra strong stalks and roots and a plant that has a disease package that makes it ideal for Mid and Full season markets. The large yellow grain is very similar in size, color, and shape to R502 allowing for blending of R606 grain with R502 grain to achieve expansions anywhere between 42 and 52 MWVT

R997 is a mid-season butterfly popcorn with the large orange grain. R997 has long cylinder-shaped ears with easy shelling orange kernels and improved stalk strength. It has wide geographic adaptation and has performed exceptionally internationally.
High resistance: Grey Leaf Spot
Intermediate Resistance: Common Rust, Northern Corn Leaf Blight, and Drought.
