Overall, the highlights were CSUYP17-1218, ZHY5022OD and Strongheart on the early side. Landcruiser, Bowie, and Canyon on the middle maturity. Galaxy Imp., ZUY5421OD, Triple Threat, and Townsend continue to perform well for the late season. All of these hybrids have sturdy roots and robust plants that give them an edge throughout the Midwest growing season. A couple of these items are emerging as real recovery winners. ZUY5421OD is a main season SU with one of our best internal cob diameter to kernel depth ratio. This translates into good numbers for recovery. I also liked what Galaxy Improved was showing us. Galaxy has always had good yield. Galaxy improved is where we will see the recovery and plant health boost.
