The Augmented Hybrids: where Strong Agronomics and Taste and Texture meet

Explosion of Sweet

Crookham Company's focus on innovation, has lead the company to own one of the largest sweet corn seed bank in the world. In the 1970s Bill Crookham began a daunting program where advanced varieties were taste tested. Step by step and year by year this program emerged into to what is now called the Augmented and Quad Sweets, which were discovered by George W. Crookham and Bruce Hobdy in the last decade. The Augmented Sweet Corns turn a great customer experience into customer loyalty with its high quality taste and a burst in the bite. The Augmented hybrids also find favor with growers for their solid agronomics. Nirvana and Eden fall into the category of being a mid-season and AP-426 is a main season and has an added benefit of a boosted disease package. This year Euphoria, an early season, was added to the Augmented family. All varieties have a quick snap that makes for an easy harvest. Crookham Company invites you to talk to your seed distributor or our sweet corn specialist about how these items might add value and advance your sweet corn program.
